Marjorie Esther Rice, 95, died at the Island Commons on Chebeague. The funeral is at 1pm on Saturday, 9/5/09, at the Chebeague Cemetery.

Born to Adam and Stephanie West August 17th twin girls, Marlie (6.1 lbs) and Colbie (6.8 lbs). Sister Cadence is very attentive to their every whimper! Grandparents, Susan and Richard West, cannot wait to bring them to Chebeague next summer.

Charles Swann, 92, died in Media, Pennsylvania.

Scott Horr, 65, died at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, after a courageous battle against cancer.

Tom Evans, 81, died at Stonebridge retirement Village in Princton with his wife Tink (Lessing) and family by his side.

Virginia Tacey, mother of Lesley Clark (Camp Providence), passed away suddenly in Bradenton, Florida. Virginia had been a visitor to Chebeague for the last 18 years. She loved Chebeague almost as much as Lesley and Ernie Richardson. She had many friends here on Chebeague, and will be greatly missed.

Born to Brian and Brianne Martindale, a daughter, Nancy Tollen Martindale, born at 113am, 6 pounds 3 ounces, 20 and quarter inches long. She is the granddaughter of the late Ross Jr and great granddaughter of the late Ross Martindale

Born to Rebecca (Towle) and Michael MacLean, a daughter, Eva Raelyn MacLean, at 1203am. She weighed 8 pounds and is 20 inches long. Eva is the granddaughter of Allyson and Lindy Smith and the great granddaughter of Maxine Clifford in Yarmouth and Victoria Smith.

Congratulations to Joan Brenton and Joe McLaughlin who were married in Pelham, New Hampshire at theHarris Inn. They are honeymooning in Newfoundland. Joan is the daughter of Marianne Brenton.
