Virginia Schroeder passed away in her sleep this morning at the Maine Veteran’s Home. There will be a committal service on August 4th at 11 a.m. at the Chebeague cemetery.

Born to Leah MacDonald and Ben Wentling, a daughter, Clara Anne Wentling at 518am, and she weighs in at exactly 8 lbs and is 21 1/2 inches long. She was born at home after a long labor, and everyone is now happy, healthy and resting.

Mona Taliento, 91, passed away this morning with Neil by her side. She had spent many years on Chebeague with Vickie and Neil, Mia and Lena and Leo.

Linda K. Kokemuller, 57, died in Portland, Maine. She spent lots of time on Chebeague with the Helbigs and the MacArthurs. A celebration of her life will be later this Spring on Chebeague.

Waneta (Hamilton) Cleaves, 91, died in South Portland. There will be visiting hours Monday, January 4th from 11 to 1 followed by a Service at Jones Rich & Hutchins, 199 Woodford Street, Portland, Maine. Donations may be made in her memory to the Chebeague United Methodist Church. There will be a Graveside Memorial Service for Waneta Cleaves Saturday May 1st, 100pm with a Reception following at the Parish House.

Born to Erika and Christopher (Topher) Neumann, a son, Nathaniel (Nate) Christopher Neumann. He weighed 8 lbs 4 oz and is 20 inches long. Everyone is doing great!! He is the grandson to Betts and Eldon Mayer.

Marjorie Esther Rice, 95, died at the Island Commons on Chebeague. The funeral is at 1pm on Saturday, 9/5/09, at the Chebeague Cemetery.

Born to Adam and Stephanie West August 17th twin girls, Marlie (6.1 lbs) and Colbie (6.8 lbs). Sister Cadence is very attentive to their every whimper! Grandparents, Susan and Richard West, cannot wait to bring them to Chebeague next summer.

Scott Horr, 65, died at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, after a courageous battle against cancer.
