Shelby W. Putnam, 91, passed away at his home in Scarborough. Chebeague Island was an important part of his entire life. He will be missed by his children Bill, Bob and Jennifer as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sam Gaskins, 81, died peacefully in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Born to Matthew and Maria McDonough, a son, Conor James McDonough. Grandson of Laurie Wood and Chris McDonough and stepgrandson of Scott Olsen. He joins big brothers Teddy and Luke in their new home in Sudbury, Mass.

Jane Shattuck, 99, died peacefully in Sudbury, Ma. She will be missed by her children, Mayo Shattuck, Susan Shattuck, Lisa Halpin, and the entire family.

Carmelita is daughter to Caroline Fernandes and Joe Partlow, and niece to Laura and Geoff Summa. 7/19,25 – Philip Soderstrom, 87, passed away peacefully after a brief stay at the Island Commons. Phil was the husband of Mary Soderstrom, father of Tara Donovan and Stanley Soderstrom and stepfather/grandfather to John Burbine, Nancy Olney and Reuben Olney. There will be a service for Phil on Saturday, August 16th, 11am at the Chebeague Community Church, with refreshments afterward at the Parish House. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Island Commons or Hospice of Southern Maine.
