Born to Ruthie Putnam, a son, Liam Samuel Putnam. His birth weight was 3lbs, 15oz and he was 16.5in long. He may have been 8wks premature but he is quite the fighter and is continuing to get stronger and healthier everyday. He will remain in the NICU until he is full term and healthy enough to come home. Plz keep him in your prayers. Thank you.

Born to Ellen and Bradley Putnam, a daughter, Zoe Harris Putnam. Zoe weighed 9 pounds 1 ounce. She joins her big sister Charlotte (age 3 1/2). Her grandparents are Sheila Putnam of Chebeague Island; Bob Putnam of Greenwood, Maine; and Bill Bryson and Penny Clark of Bethesda, Maryland. Her great grandparents are Shelby Putnam of Scarborough, Maine and Anita Kurland of Washington, DC.

Elizabeth “Beth” Atkinson Howe,78, died peacefully in Brunswick, Maine. Mac Passano invites the Chebeague community to a memorial reception for Beth Howe on July 25th at 1230 at Barbara Marks house, 9 Ruel Rd. Beth was a wonderful contributor to many island organizations.
