Herbert M. Rich, 87, died at Brentwood Center in Yarmouth. A funeral service will be held in the Chebeague Community Church, Saturday, June 4th at 1130AM Followed by graveside burial.

Born to Nate Hubbell and Sarah Wheble, daughter Emmeline (Emme) Dove Hubbell. She is the granddaughter of Jennifer and Rich Hubbell and the great granddaughter of Ruth Ragan. We can’t wait for her first visit to Chebeague this summer!

Charles “Charlie” Damone passed away on Friday November 26. He was 87. He was stepfather to Sam Birkett (and her husband John) and grandfather to George, Conrad and Hannah Birkett and stepfather to Susan Muniak and grandsons Adam and Jeremy. Charlie and his wife Helen summered on Chebeague until the mid-nineties.

J. William (Bill) Cushing, 91,died in Gainesville, GA, after failing for a number of months. Bill came to Chebeague for 20+ years of summer stays after marrying Jane Brock Tonks, widow of Neal Tonks. With Jane, Bill embraced Chebeague and the family here Gretchen (Tonks) and Jim Hartling; Rick and Cis (Kuntz) Tonks; Cutter and Julie Tonks; and, William and Debbie Tonks.

Mary Rice Rasin, 93, known as “Bobbie” to her friends and family, died from complications of an infection at St. Joseph Hospital in Towson on November 2. She was the sister to Ann Rice Bond.

Peg Lyons, 77, of Chebeague Island, died peacefully surrounded by her family. Lovingly cared for, at the time, by Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. She was mother to Denise and Amy Bonville, Katherine Maurice and Meg Homer. She will be missed by many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
