Margaret Gaston, 103, died at Maine Medical, after a sudden illness. She was 103 years old, and enjoying her 64th summer on Chebeague.

Irene Hackel, age 96, died in North Carolina. A native of Bangor, Maine, and mother of Richard Hackel, she was an avid golfer, and for a number of years enjoyed sailing and called herself “the jib lady”. She will be missed by her 3 children and their families.
