Margaret Gaston, 103, died at Maine Medical, after a sudden illness. She was 103 years old, and enjoying her 64th summer on Chebeague.

Irene Hackel, age 96, died in North Carolina. A native of Bangor, Maine, and mother of Richard Hackel, she was an avid golfer, and for a number of years enjoyed sailing and called herself “the jib lady”. She will be missed by her 3 children and their families.

Trenton Lloyd-Rees, age 23, died in an accident while serving as 3rd engineer on the oil tanker SLNC Goodwill in the North Pacific.

Harold “Hal” Franklyn Cleaves Jr, 78, passed away at home with his family in Milbridge, Maine.

Joseph “Skipper” Hartley Dyer, 67, passed away peacefully in his sleep due to COPD in South Portland.

Robert Levey, 81, who first came to Chebeague over 45 summers ago, died at Beth Israel hospital in Brookline, Massachusetts. His affection and enthusiasm for the island were boundless.

Born to Nate and Sarah Martin, a daughter, Lillian Soule Martin. She weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and is 20 inches long and is now home with her big brother Henry.

Henry Morlock, 65, died. He was formerly of Yarmouth, Massachusetts, and was the son of Walter and Annemarie Davis Morlock (both deceased.)

Born to Lindsay and Zach Doughty, a daughter, Winslow (Winnie) Anderson Doughty. Winnie weighed in at 7.2 pounds, 19 1/2″ long and born at 201pm. Joanne and Bruce Anderson and Frankie and Chris Doughty are proud grandparents.

Jeffrey C. Bates, 70, of Cambridge, passed away on after contracting the Covid-19 virus. Jeffrey had a home on Deer Point for a few years.
